"All things bright and beautiful, All creatures great and small, All things wise and wonderful, The Lord God made them all." By Cecil F. Alexander. This poem expresses my view, Creatorwise, of God's wonderful creation, which seems to be the subject of my hobbies/videos, especially bird watching and mushroom hunting. "With all Creation I sing, Praise to the King of Kings, You are my everything, And I will adore You." (The Revelation Song). The Good News is: the Creator, Himself, came down to planet earth, robed Himself in a fleshly body (John 1:1, 14), and died for us to redeem us! See Acts 2:38-39 and Acts, chapters 8, 10, and 19.
"Angel" Baby Robins - Fledgling Flees the Nest
Finally captured a fledgling "Angel" Baby Robin in the act of fleeing the nest. Originally there were three, but one disappeared when a tornado hit nearby (Thank God we were spared!) The small green object between the nest and the "Angel" is a wren house that mom and dad robin pushed over to make room for their nest (no wrens at home). I did not notice the fledgling flew back into my camera's view and landed on the red awning of my neighbor's glider, or I would have continued videoing.

Joyce Kilmer's classic poem "Trees" served as the inspiration for my poem, and my multi-talented daughter, Julia, composed the music and combined her vocals, instrumentation and graphics into an iMovie to help visualize what really transpired on "The Tree." Winter Birds' Feeding Frenzy III w/Snow (Calling All Cats!)
Переглядів 3,4 тис.3 роки тому
A February, 2021, deep snow in the Midwest spawned another "Winter Birds' Feeding Frenzy," for me, my third. This time I positioned my camera a little closer and also captured the beautiful falling snow! Once again the Northern Cardinals steal the show with their flaming red rocking against the white snow backdrop. The many goldfinches and house finches provide most of the frenzy and chatter, w...
Return of the "Angel" Baby Robins
Переглядів 3,1 тис.4 роки тому
After four years, the robins returned and built a nest in my planter just outside my kitchen window, affording me another wonderful, up close and personal opportunity to observe and capture them hatching and growing, and to see the loving care demonstrated by mom and dad in continuously feeding and caring for them. Here are a few of the highlights of their "angelic" performance.
May Day Melee & Mayhem at the Bird Feeders
Переглядів 2,2 тис.4 роки тому
This May 1st capture gives "May Day" new meaning. As Blue Jays try to establish a "pecking order," the Hairy Woodpecker and the Red-headed Woodpecker have other thoughts. "Feathers fly" as the jays learn these woodpeckers know a thing or two about "pecking!" And when Rose-breasted Grosbeaks and Baltimore Orioles (and more) flock to the melee, the Jays are ready to sound the alarm, "May Day, May...
Hand-feeding Darling Red-breasted Nuthatches!
Переглядів 1,6 тис.5 років тому
I recently posted my humorous pursuit of hand-feeding red-breasted nuthatches, newly arrived at my feeders. Now I try for a more up close and personal view, replete with their darling little chirps! Be sure to turn up your volume. At :44 one flies in to my hand before I extended it, then quickly darts back to the shepherd's hook, per protocol, to patiently await my slow recovery. LOL.
In Pursuit of Hand-feeding the Red-breasted Nuthatch
Переглядів 1,4 тис.5 років тому
It's rare to see Red-breasted Nuthatches in south central Indiana, and rarer still to have one land beside me while I filled the sunflower-seed feeder! I quickly assumed this was another nudge, a "gift...from above" like the "Carolina Wrens Soothe Broken Heart," to help me recover from the devastating loss of my wonderful wife. Inspired also by the handiwork of Lesley the Bird Nerd (aka "the bi...
Carolina Wrens Soothe Broken Heart

Creatorwise was heartbroken and devastated beyond words when his lovely wife of 55 glorious years lost her battle with cancer in May, 2018. There was just no heart left for posting any more videos of his beautiful birds. Until, that is, while watering geraniums TAKEN FROM HIS WIFE'S GRAVESITE, he discovered a little Carolina Wren darting out of the foliage. Parting the leaves revealed a nest wi...
Grandiose Grosbeaks Galore
Переглядів 11 тис.6 років тому
Watch with delight as several pompous Rose-breasted Grosbeaks grandstand as they contend with each other and other feathered friends for sunflower seed, suet and grape jelly. Also featured are the pileated woodpecker and the hairy woodpecker, Baltimore orioles, goldfinches, house finches, red-winged blackbird, common grackle, and the blue jay. Today I counted eleven male grosbeaks at one time a...

Morel Mushrooms - Still More Elms & Morels

One more dead elm documentary showing that finding dead elm trees can lead to a more fruitful hunt. This hunt occurred in SW Wisconsin May 15-16, 2017, and netted 9 lbs. This is a followup to my "More Elms = Morels upload. My other videos featuring lots of dead/dying elms are: "Morel Mushrooms - Go for the Gold! -14 Lbs," "Good Job, God - 9 Lbs," and "How to Identify Dead Elms" videos. No mothe...

Woodpecker Spring Six Indiana Woodpeckers
Not so rare IMHO- I have seen cardinals attacking blue jays (and other birds) more than once....
Amazing video and so beatyful 😊
Great video 😊😊😊
I’m a cat
not sure why everyone is saying blue jays are aggressive, at least where i live it looks like their size is just startling the other birds and causing the feeder to swing, even my red-bellied woodpeckers are calm
The Cardinal saw RED that day!
Literally tf2
Bloods vs crips
That's flapjack fighting Waffles(hunter's new brid blue jay) saying "how dare you take my owner away"
Dang it’s been 11years and now it’s 2024
Great video.... Suet is much needed in Winter and Early Spring.
Very nice, Gotta love Woodpeckers.
Almost looks like my yard. I have a lot of feeders. I have that same bird house looking one also. Just not in as good of shape. It's fell a few times and is cracked all over. But works well still. I make my own peanut butter and suet cakes. It's Grand Central Station until Sunset.
thanks for helping out the birds in Winter! In winter its MUCH harder for the birds to find food, so you may have saved some of their lives even! Bravo!
My mother would be crying watching this video. She is in love with the Blue Jays and northern Cardinals. We tend to get Cardinals in our neighborhood but we never have Blue Jays.
An absolutely amazing sight! The joy the birds are sharing and through your feeding lens the joy your viewers share.
I heard a pileated woodpecker off camera.
This summer I had two cardinals at my feeder along with several bluejays. The cardinals only came by when the jays were not there but I also noticed I have zero small birds this fall when I use to have many all year round. The pair of cardinals have left but the jays are still around. I wonder if they drove the small birds away.
Margaret calm tf down
Northern Cardinals !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CRAZY BIRD!
What state are you in? Do you ever see yellow finches? I've tried to feed them thistle in one of those socks, but never see yellow finches.
Indiana. Yes, we have the yellow, American Goldfinches. They are in some of my videos. Thanks for your nice comments! Good luck on the goldfinches!
@@creatorwise I think I've only seen a couple of gold finches over the many years, but many red/purple finches. My husband said he has seen some a long time ago in a neighbor's yard across the street. I've bought yellow colored finch feeders for thistle and finch socks and I never seen finches feeding on them. Then the socks just get moldy from the rain and have to be discarded. Any advise on how to get yellow finches? We do however have Orioles, cardinals, woodpeckers, red finches, hummingbirds, chickadees, titmouses, catbirds, and once in a great while a red chested grossbeak. Would sure like to see some yellow finches though.
@@jerriehattery6116 You do have a wonderful variety of colorful birds which I'm sure you are thankful for! There may not be any goldfinches in your area. You might try Google for advice on how to attract them . Good luck, and let me know when you see them!
Cool video. This is the first year I've fed orioles grape jelly, only nectar, and I've never seen so many orioles. Ive been having to refill the jelly so often. I found a little blue square bird hanging tray at Amazon that i put the jelly in and it works well. The woodpeckers feed from my hummingbird feeders too. Rarely do i see a grossbeak. I used to feed the bluejays peanuts, but found they love the black sunflowers. Nice video. I was surprised by the robin too!
beautiful. thanks for sharing
is winterthe 10000 bird eats
Rose-breasted grosbeaks are beautiful, and I love their song.
I love Baltimore orioles.

No place in paradise for the dreaded House sparrow.
This is just beautiful, thank you for sharing. I have a carolina wren pair who live near me and visit my window every day. They have a particular presence, and they sometimes seem to look deeply back at me.
You're welcome and thank you for your beautiful comment! I believe they have touched your heart also!

The waiting is driving me crazy this year! I've been scouting the entire winter and early spring for good spots and I found a load of them, now it's just the waiting game. Getting any yet in your neighbourhood?
When asked to name best rivals in history the Cardinal and Blue Jay are definitely one of them
Getting any yet? Good luck hope you have a great season!
Thanks! Likewise to you!
Where is Indiana is this made and what type of suet do you use? Thank you!
Columbus, IN area. Suet Plus made by St. Albans Bay, carried by Rural King, Sunflower Seed blend, Peanut blend, and Woodpecker blend.

@@creatorwise you are so very welcome ❤️
What state? I’ve had about 11 r 12 at my feeders here n Ky. But, it took a couple yrs of keeping the feeders stocked full of sunflower seeds and they kept coming back and more started showing up. I had one evening grosbeak show one time just for a few seconds and I never seen it again.☹️ he was a beauty.
